A True Tuscan: the Pomarancina sheep – A matter of breeding

A taste of the true Tuscany,

Tiziana Tacchi of Il Grillo è Buoncantore, a restaurant on the main piazza of Chiusi, in the province of Siena, will bring to Turin all her expertise and skill with typical Tuscan meat. More specifically, she will cook dishes with the firm, tasty meat of the Slow Food Presidium-promoted Pomarancina sheep breed, which grazes on pasture in a wild or semi-wild state. The meat is at its best oven-roast or in a local favorite, buglione, a delicious stew of humble origin.

What will be served: Buglione di agnello and Pici al ragù Pomarancino, paired with Chianti Colli Senesi 2016 and  Brunello di Montalcino classico 2013 from Tenute Silvio Nardi, Montalcino (Si).
