Black is Back- Traditional Pig Breeds

Looking at different pig breeds,

After decades in which modern hybrids held sway in Europe and elsewhere, heritage pig breeds—hardy, free-range and nearly always with black coats—are now making a comeback. We’ll find out more about them at this workshop comparing different Slow Food Presidia—the Nebrodi Black (Sicily), the Eastern Balkans Black (Bulgaria),  the Bigorre black (France) and the Bazna (Romania)—and their meat and by-products.
